Manthano is a classical Greek word (μανθάνω), meaning “to learn,” or “I am learning.” The reason for this name is behind my goal in blogging: to become a coffee expert, to learn as much as I can about coffee. Although becoming a coffee expert seems daunting, I hope that this blog will allow me to better learn about coffee, and that it would be a resource and help to others on this same journey.
With that said, here is a bit about me: my coffee habits began in college, as most individuals’ do, with the primary goal of staying up all night to finish papers or to study for exams that I didn’t prepare well for. Since then, I have grown to really love coffee. Though I began with gas station cappuccinos and sugary frappuccinos, today I find myself a rather picky coffee fanatic, who drinks it black and ain’t never goin’ back.
Truly, I hope that this blog is beneficial for not only me but for you as well. Blogposts will consist of all things coffee–instructions, recommendations, failed attempts, reviews, and other helpful information. I would love to hear from any of you, whether you are just beginning this journey or are a seasoned veteran. The blogosphere is one of today’s platforms for community education; let’s help each other along the way.
